Thandel is Naga Chaitanya's new film that has been in the making for the last year or so. The makers initially planned to release the film during the Dusshera season but things changed as the shoot was not wrapped up.

Then, news came out that the makers had planned a Sankranthi 2025 release but that also did not happen as several biggies have launched the release date of their films. Well, the makers have finally locked the release date now. As per the latest update, Thandel will hit the screens on February 7, 2024.

The makers arranged for a press meeting and announced the release date grandly. The entire cast and crew of the film were present at the occasion. Sai Pallavi plays the female lead in this film and she has been paid big bucks to act in the action drama.

Naga Chaitanya is playing a fisherman in this film and this is the first time he is doing an out-and-out rural character. The character arc is great and gives him a lot of scope to perform. Right from the time the film went on floors, Thandel became a talking point all over.

Allu Aravind produced the film on a budget of Rs 60 crore and this is the highest budget ever for a Naga Chaitanya film to date. As the film is a romantic drama, the makers felt that February 7, 2025, would be a perfect date to release their film.

Chandoo Mondeti has directed this film which has an India-Pakistan story. Chay, who plays a fisherman gets lost in Pakistani waters and gets arrested. How he comes out of the deadly situation is the basic story of the film.

Thandel is also produced by Bunny Vas and he has put a lot of effort into keeping the film in the news. He has been speaking highly about the film at every event and now that the release date has been locked, the fans of Naga Chaitanya are quite happy to finally see their hero in a never-before-seen avatar.
